Hey all, 1st post here. I tried a search befor posting but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. Recently the inner part of the right front burner quit working on our cooktop electric range. I believe this is a triple element but in the parts diagram it looks like one integrated part. My question is, if the outer part of the burner still works is it still possible that the infinite switch might be at fault or should I just order a new burner element?

thanks

It has been my experience that if part of a dual element stops working the element is at fault. If you have a multimeter could could always check the element to make sure it's getting voltage. If it's getting voltage and not working it's for sure the element.
