Model Number: RBS305PDB14 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
While baking a cake in the oven last night, my oven threw a code (E2 - F3). I looked the code up and it said "Oven temperature too high (Cook Mode)" and that the fix was to replace the oven temperature sensor. So I did and the code is still there. What I didn't notice was that the broiler element glows red hot all the time even when the oven is off. I killed the breaker and left it off over night and when I turned it back on, it went back to glowing red hot. Do I have a bad element or is there something else wrong? Please advise?

Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL RBS305PDB14 | AppliancePartsPros.com Here is the tech sheet https://www.servicematters.com/docs/...%208301757.pdf As far as I know can only be two things: 1. The wire fro the broil element to the control board has shorted to the case/frame so it gets power all the time re: 120 volts. But it should not get bright red as this requires the full 240 volts. 2. The broil relay contacts are welded together. You will need a new control board to fix this.
