One burner won't ignite. No spark, no gas when the knob is turned on the left front burner. When I turn any of the other knobs it will spark.

Any ideas on the likely cause?

thanks

Are you sure the knob is turning the valve?
Could the knob be broken?

The knob is turning the D shaft. Is the D shaft directly connected to the valve?

thanks

Yes the shaft is directly connected to the shaft, at least that is the only way I have ever seen them. I tried to look up a diagram for your model number, but could not find any info on the model number you posted. Are you sure that is the correct model number?
