I am replacing the clock on a Tappan TGF657BFB1 stove, and am not sure how to remove the old push buttons from the old clock and don't want to break them...any suggestions how to do this? They are described as a push button type and model # AP2125113...do I have to replace them? There is nothing wrong with the current ones. Thanks!

They just push into holes in the clock and should be able to be removed by pulling or possibly prying.

Only if they break during removal.

What you do is get you two index fingers, and put them on the back side of the fat part of the button, and pull it right out. They won't break. I have never broke on, as many as I have done. Then just push them back in on the new one. They will snap right in. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
