Lower oven only gets up to 200 degrees or so. I don't have a wiring diagram. Before I tare into it, should I be testing the heating element or the thermostat? I know how to test continuity but thermostat has 7 connections, not 5. Thermostat was replaced just a year ago by a friend (now deceased) and had a heck of a time finding a replacement as part is discontinued. Any help would be appreciated.

Do either of the oven elements glow red when on?

Does the bake element even get warm?

look for a burn't wire or a bad connection. if a element is bad it will not heat. if it is heating at all the element is good. it could be the selector switch. but most of the parts are not available on this product. tom

Thank you for your help. I'll check all the connections and pray that is all that is wrong.

I am having the same problem. New thermostat in bottom oven but now only heats to 200 or so. Unable to locate wiring diagram. Have you had any luck yet?
