Hello,

My range control panel lost function of the two outermost laminated type selector controls (button). Model #MEW6527DDS

I opened the oven to find the interconnect ribbon between the mother board and the control panel, had had a compromised section where one of the ribbon lines had either corroded or deteriorated.

The problem is that the entire control panel is tack welded together and the ribbon is fixed into the panel and then connects to the mother board with a snap style ribbon receiver. This seems to suggest that I need to replaced the whole panel.

Is there some work around. All I need to do is re establish the continuity along the ribbon where the break occurred.

Unfortunately there is no way to fix the ribbon cable. The only suggestion is to replace the whole control panel.
