After consecutive 10 hours of use during Thanksgiving, the oven decided it was time to take a break. From the distinctive smell of burnt circuits I can tell it is the clock timer. The replacement part appears to be easy to install but what I'd like to know is whether there are diagnostic tests I can run to ensure the new $200 part won't go up in smoke immediately! I have all the necessary test tools (Fluke multimeter) but I'm not sure what to check. As a side note, the ignighter was replaced (by a technician) two months ago.
