The top burners burn. The oven/broiler does not ignite. The electric igniter glows brightly but I do not hear the gas allowed to flow to the burner. Therefore there is no ignition. This range is barely used. Could the sensor have gone bad with no use for about 3 years. Not plugged in or no gas line hooked up for the last 3 yrs.

A couple of things:

1. The glow of the igniter has to be white hot or else it's too weak to open the safety valve. If it's glowing red but not white, the igniter is most likely bad. Part number: AP4096256
Part number: AP4096256

2. The bi-metal inside the safety valve might be stuck, possibly because it set there for 3 years unused (the valve is not a serviceable part and cannot be repaired, has to be replaced). Part number: AP4098182
