Quote:I washed my range with a strong spray detergent and now my knob for one flame will not turn I don't know what washing would have done to it unless the knob was somehow positioned so it was physically jammed up but if the burner valve shaft will not run, it is likely due to a defective gas valve (see the following link). LINK > GE JGBS22BEA6WH Burner ValveQuote:I tried spraying WD40 [on it] That is not a good idea as I have no idea what effect it would have on any seals in the gas valve, potentially leading to a gas leak! Besides the fact that WD40 is not a lubricant but instead a water displacer. (That's what the 'WD' stands for). JMO Dan O. www.Appliance411.com The Appliance Information Site=D~~~~~~
