Unhappy F8 error Frigidaire double oven
Model Number: PLEB30T8CCB   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

I have a Frigidaire double oven Model (PLEB30T8CCB) made on April of 2003.
When I try to clean the upper oven I get an F8 error and the door never locks. As a result even if I clear the error by turning the breaker off and then pressing both clear buttons nothing works.

After turning the door lock latch with a pair of pliers a few times I was able to clear the error and get all functions back except cleaning.

Do you have any suggestions on what part has gone bad and how to replace it?

Thanks in advance.

In order to fix the oven the door latch assembly has to be replaced.

I'm afraid the oven has to be removed from the cabinet because the part is located on the back of the oven.

- The part number for the door latch assembly is AP2128406

Good luck.
Gene.

Thumbs up

Thanks Gene.

Are there any diagrams on that oven? How hard is to replace the part once the oven is removed out of the cabinet?

Thanks again for your fast reply before.

The door latch assembly is shown on the break down diagram with the references number 89.

Good luck.
Gene.
