I'm getting an F0 code on a GE oven. I've replaced the ERC based on testing to determine if it was the ERC or the touch pad. The test indicated the ERC was bad. I'm still getting the F0 errow with and without the touch pad plugged in. Could I have another bad ERC or do I need to replace the touch pad as well?

That is most often caused by either a defective control or a malfunctioning keypad.

That should eliminate the keypad as a possibility.

It's not outside the realm of possibilities but IMO it is *very* unlikely to have both the original and a replacement fail in exactly the same way. Having it defective in some other manor would be more of an indication of a possible failed new part.


On some models an F0 failure code can indicate a 'stuck' relay on the control board resulting in excessive heat. The control might 'think' that was occurring if there was a problem with its oven temperature sensor.

Lastly, there's a slim chance one of the safety thermostats in the control compartment being open might signal the control to display an overheating error code. That is just a guess though.
