Installing Glass door trim kit on oven

Model Number: 66595775890 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

I ordered the trim kit that holds on the glass portion of our oven door from the appliance parts pros and it came very fast. However, when I tried to install it tonight it doesn't appear to fit right.

I know I must be doing something wrong. The old trim kit would screw together, but I was told Kenmore doesn't make that one anymore and the new one has pegs where the screws used to be and it should just snap together.

The problem I am having is that when I try to line the side trim parts up with the bottom trim part the sides don't allow enough room for the glass to slide between.

I have tried many different approaches to installing this trim kit, but I need help as I am not having success.

I have the owners manual, but there is nothing in it that shows how to install.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.
