Over a year ago we had a lightning strike come in through the telephone wires. The range was affected in that the two left burners would oly come on low. The "button" for High never worked after that.

Yesterday I set the range to self clean. It worked for ?maybe 2 hours, maybe closer to the three it was set for and then suddenly it beeped and displayed F30 ERR. I pressed stop and the code disappeared. Maybe a minute later it beeped again and displayed F10 Err. Again I pressed stop and the error went away. For about a minute. This kept recurring over and over again so we shut it off at the breaker.

Googling, we found posts on Applianceblog.com and came to this site.

Today we pulled out the stove and checked the Ohm on the sensor probe. It read 1.015 KOhm. So, correct, right?

We turned the stove back on and were surpirised to find the door still locked and apparently the cool down cycle still on. Within a minute, the F10 ERR code started up again. We went through a number of rounds pressing stop but it always cam back and the door never unlocked.

It appears we have a motorized lock and have no idea how to get the door open.

I wasn't ever bright enough to write down our model number, perhaps Sears has it on file.

Is there anything we can do? I was prepared to order in a new control board (assuming that was indeed the problem) but without the door open, do I have any options?
