Oven burner not getting gas

Broiler and stove top work fine and the igniter for the the oven does glow, but it never lights the burner and I don't smell gas which seems to me to be a gas supply problem, (control valve) but how can I confirm?
Is there a way to to check the leads with a meter at the control valve which supplies the broiler and oven?
