oven wont shut off G.E.xl44
Model Number: jgbs15ger4wk Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
oven constantly runs, have to shut off gas and unplug to shut it off.

Very likely the problem is a shorted oven thermostat (#17 on the diagram). In order to confirm it you have to check the thermostat for continuity while it is in "off" position. If it shows continuity then the thermostat is the culprit.
