Just replaced both ignitor bars ordered from here, great service and fast shipping!
AP2994572 (9751784) Ignitor, broil
AP2994573 (9751123) Ignitor, oven

Oven ignitor solved the baking problem, oven lights and heats up to temp.

Broil ignitor glows but fails to open gas valve, no broiler flame or clean since clean cycle starts with broil.

Could the brand new broil ignitor be defective?

Or is there something else I am overlooking?

Gas valve works with new oven ignitor so i assume the valve is good.

Yes I can check the amp draw on that ignitor, I just assume it is correct being brand new. 3-3.2 is correct?

If that is not the problem what else might be?

yea... i think 3.0 - 3.6 amp draw... just because it is new doesnt mean it is perfect ... has the broiler worked in the past ?

If I swap leads on ignitors, will oven ignitor fool broil valve to open?
I realize that if this does work, gas will expell from broiler without lighting and will need to shut off before gas build up.

Will this test the broil circuit of valve or is there a continuity test for the broil side of valve that I can try instead?

Yes broiler has worked in the past. Unit had problem when it was brand new, wire was pinched from factory and shorted that caused temp to rise beyond control and door to lock. The shorted wire was low voltage, I think it was temp sensor. Could not shut anything off on the controls at that point, had to pull plug and shut gas valve off to stop it.
Serviceman taped shorted wire and replaced control panel. Broiler worked after that, a year later the self-clean did not work, at which time I assumed broiler quit, not letting clean to work. It was out of waranty at that point so we stopped using the broiler and cleaned manually. Recently the oven ignitor whent out so I replaced both.

well not really necessary to swap wires with broil and bake ignitors... as long as you are getting 110vac to the broil ignitor and and you have checked to make sure the ignitor is drawing the correct amperage, are you sure the orifice is not clogged to the broil ?

Where is that orifice?

There is a perforated panel that broil flame comes from, panel is removable.

Behind there?
