The outer oven glass broke on my Tappan oven, turns out the parts for the particular model have been discontinued.

So I need find out what other ovens out there are compatible to order the glass piece.

I have a Frigidaire oven that I broke the outer glass door on also. I did a search on Google on my oven's model number and come to find out several models use these same glass part. also apparently Frigidaire also manufactures kenmore tappan and a few othe rbrands so the parts are similar. My out glass on my balck over is part # 316089000. I did a google search for that part number and found a supplier that has the galss in stock for the matching Kenmore oven.

Strange that such a popular part would be discontuned

I ordered my glass from appliance-parts-warehouse.com
