I have a Dacor double wall oven where the upper unit has started to inconsistently cook food often burning items. I have removed the Temperature Sensor to perform the Impedance test. Having removed the door and baking element and pulling the temp sensor and wires through the back of the oven I now see two plastic crimp caps holding the wires together. How do I remove these? If I just cut them out can I use regular wire nuts as replacements or are these special thermal caps? Thanks!
