We Have Converted The Range From Natural Gas To Lp...as Per The Instructions In The Manual...top Burner Flames Are Fine...tried To Use The Oven For The First Time And The Flames Come Out Of Underneath The Flame Speader (oven Bottom) About 4-5"...tried To Adjust The Air Shutter And It Did Not Have An Effect On The Flames..the Oven Is An Older Model But Has Never Been Used Until Now...dont Know Where To Begin For Repairs

Try to adjust the orifice spud on the oven safety valve.

we did the adjustment as the sheet told us to...turn clockwise until snug (with a 1/2" wrench)..it says not to overtighten as to not cause damage...how snug is snug (tightened until it would not turn easily) should we try to tighten a little more?

Gene,

Thanks for your assistance. I adjusted the orifice until it would not turn anymore and the flames are behaving now. Again, thank you...you saved me the costs of a new safety valve (upwards of $ 100)...
