I have our Jennaire gas/electric stove apart for Control Panel replacement. I have also noticed recently that the left side burner controls for the griddle (which we rarely use) do not regulate the gas, they only seem to operate on high. While the right side controls which we use all the time regulate the burners from high to low. I was wondering if this is normal since we so seldom use the griddle or are the valves getting sticky from lack of use and should they be replaced since I already have the stove apart. I also noticed the valves on the left side are different than the valves on the right side, can anyone explain this difference?

I have the valves out and wondered if spraying some type of lubricant in the side of the place where the switch mounts to the valve might help? Also if we used the valves more would they likely free up? Third question -- I see no way the white electrical part can be separated from the valve body. Is there some secret to doing this for valve replacement?

I figured out the stem switches simply opo off the valves. Other questions need answers.
