I have a tappan gas range and the one side of the door hinge seems to have either come off and needs to have it put back together or the hinge itself has broken, but the door doesn't stay open anymore at the first hinge holding it just flops down if you aren't holding it. I was wondering how to get into that oven to see if the actual hinge is broke or if a spring has come loose. Help would be appreciated greatly. Thanks!

Gene - Thanks for responding. The oven was purchased in 1984 and the model on the paper work and oven is 30-2662-0 and the serial # 0435583512181. Hopefully we can find something on it. Thanks again.

Dear JennieB,

Since this is an older appliance and no diagrams are listed online we will need check the microfich researching the hinge and spring parts. Once we have done that we can determine if the design is similar to the diagrams we have found online. This will help us in providing you with the most accurate information possible.

Please allow a couple days to hear back from our research department.

Dear JennieB,

The research department was able to determine the correct hinges and springs used on your stove are the same as many of the models on our website begining with 30-2. So as far as the diagram itself you will be able to use it to get a general idea of its breakdown.

Right hand hinge is part number AP2137574
Left hand hinge is part number AP2137573
Spring part number AP2575351
