glass cooktop silicone adhesive has let go, and one of the burner's hot surface light stays on, the burners work fine, is this dangerous to use ? and has anyone out there repaired one of these ?

Rich,
The hot surface light staying on indicates that one of the top burner sensors had stuck closed or shorted and is keeping the light energized. The range top is usable, but you should get the burner sensor diagnosed and repaired as soon as possible.

I have heard and seen some people use hi temp RTV silicone sealer/adhesive to re fill areas of the cooktop / frame area, where the silicone sealant has deteriorated, around the frame and glass junction, but that's something you need to decide on, yourself.

Thanks and Good Luck,
:) :) :)
