Default Oven Door
Model Number: SF315PEEW   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a whirlpool super capacity 465 and the oven door came off unexpectedly while I was cleaning the stove after a repair. Now leads me to two more repairs. one is trying to get the oven door back where it belongs and finding where I can purchase the two side pieces of door trim . I have read other threads where they had the same problem with their oven door, but it was a different model and even though the springs looked similar they are different. Is there a certain way this door re-attaches? Thanks for any light you might shed on this mess.

You can find the instructions how to remove and/or reinstall the oven door in the "Use and care" book (page 26).

You can look up parts for the door on the door break down diagram.

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool range Model SF315PEEW0

Smile Oven Door & Door Trim

Thanks Gene, for the info and picture. I read the other treads about oven door horror and they had the same thing to say "what hole"? Well I assumed that there had to be a hole somewhere on the spring and when I was able to pull it open further, there it was and then it was nice going. Thanks man, what power there is in knowledge. Later!
