I am looking for any assistance of the weekend installation of an Oven igniter for a GE Spectra XL44.
The repair service said my part would be installed in 3-5 days. That was 10 days ago. The have no explanation. So I just ordered the part from this web site and I should have it tomorrow. I am looking for any and all advice on the job.

Remove the wire racks and the oven floor. Remove the flame spreader (#219 on the break down diagram, section 1).

Remove the storage drawer to get access to the wires. Locate two igniter wires and disconnect them (possible one of them should be cut off).

Remove the bake burner with the igniter. Replace the igniter and assemble it in reverse order.

Thanks to Gene's help and the writers in other people's questions my oven is working again. After 10 days of waiting and no explanation I told the repair service I would find another repair method. I had the part over-nighted and repaired it in about 15 minutes. I will recommend this site to one and all.
