One of the burners on our cooktop is not functioning properly. When it's too cool, you have to turn it way up, and then it's too hot unless you turn it way down. Burner element problem, or is there some kind of temperature control that can be replaced?

I cannot find any info on the given model number.
Tried AppliancePartsPros and the Frigidaire site.
Please check it.

Most likely a control (infinite switch) problem.

Sorry, I took the model number from the shipping papers, but it appears that the correct model number is GLED388DBB

Is the "infinite switch" the rotary controls on the front? Now it seems that at least two burners are not working properly...would they all go out at once?

Here are your parts

Yes the infinite switch is Item 54 in Section 1.

No but it could be a coincidence.
I would check the plugs going to those 2 elements. It is strange that 2 went out, I would have thought that if it was a connection problem, they both would have gone out at once and not one then the other.

See the attachment for the wiring diagram.
