When the oven turns on, it only goes on in High temperature, the fire is too intense. There is no way to control it down. It eventually turns off I guess by temperature. However it is impossible to cook like that. What part should I change?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

oven turns on o.k. but it won't turn off. gas continues to flow even after the oven is shut off. I turn the gas off to to shut the oven off. If I turn the gas back on it flows at a slower rate. Even if the the oven is not lit.
( it's propane) mod no. CGW3B5WK Thanks Roland Hall

Hi Roland,

If the igniter stays on even the thermostat is off then the problem is a bad oven thermostat.

The model number you posted does not come up. The closest model number I found is Model CGW3D5WK . Verify and repost it.

Gene.

Gene, the igniter comes on and goes off with the control knob. the propane flows to the burner wheather the control knob is on or off.

Sounds like the problem is a bad gas safety valve. I'm not sure about the part number because you did not confirm the model number.

Gene.
