Whirlpool Gold Accubake temperature setting

Have Whirlpool Accubake bulit in oven. You set temp to (say) 350. When buzzer goes of it is only at ~250. It takes another 20 minutes to get to 350. Is there a way to calibrate the temp sensor?

Cannot find any info with the given Model Number, please check it.

Have Whirlpool Accubake bulit in oven. You set temp to (say) 350. When buzzer goes of it is only at ~250. It takes another 20 minutes to get to 350.
How do you know it is only at 250?
I do not think the buzzer should go off unless the unit thinks it is at set temp.
Sounds like it could be the control board in that the oven says it is ready but continues to heat.

Is there a way to calibrate the temp sensor?
Usually yes but usually only plus/minus 35 degrees.

I have two oven thermometers in it. one of them from work - calibrated. The model no. is GBS307PDB12

Check out # 7 and 8

Check that both elements are working.
Most units turn on both elements in preheat so perhaps you have an oven temp. equilibrium problem (the sensor is seeing a temperature that is not representative of the actual oven temp). Also on bake in the strip circuits they show both elements being used they are probably switching between the two elements to keep the unit at set temp.

BTW. I have found that the tip of the thermocouple is only 1 1/2 inches from the top element. Why in heavens name would they do that rather than have it in the center of the oven

I have another question. Different product. Amana refrigerator / bottom freezer leaks some water on the floor every other day, Can it be the automatic defroster? Model no. is ABB2524DEB

Yes it could be the defrost.
I would start at the drip tray under the unit.

Could also be a water leak if you have an ice maker.
