The broiler element in my Kenmore oven (911.47489991) stopped working. Looks like this oven was purchased by the previous home owner in April 2000. Here's is what I have done thus far.

1) Removed the broiler element to check for cracks. Did not notice any.
2) Tested broiler element for continuity. Tested good.
3) Tested broiler element wiring connections for power. Power is present.
4) Got frustrated and ordered a new broiler element but still does not work.

The bake element works fine. I assume, although I have not tried, that the self-clean feature will not work without the broiler element. Is that correct?

I noticed in another similar post in this forum that there was a thermal fuse that might be the culprit. Where can I find a wiring diagram and part number for my oven, if it even has a thermal fuse?

Any other ideas what the problem may be?

Thanks for any advice you may be able to offer.
