Default Cooktop stove main top will not come off
Model Number: SF360BEEW   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: More than 10 years

I need to remove the main top to my Whirlpool stove/range/gas. It has electrical iginition and 4 burners on top. I can access the front of the stove top and lift it, but I can't find the rear hinges to lift it up off of the burners. The rear of the top has an upward curve to it with a gas vent in the middle. And it is hard to see where to lift it. Do I have to remove the back plate to access the hinges for removal and do I need to remove the burner plates to remove the top. If I could loosen the back hinges that is get access to them I could lift the top without removing the burners themselves, which are attached to the main top with screws. Any info helpfull.
