Model Number: RBD505PD014 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
My oven just quit working. It came on, began to pre-heat, then beeped several times, and then nothing. There was no info on the panel anymore. It beeped several times. I went to the breaker box and turned off the breaker, and waited a while, flipped it back on. Still nothing. About 30mins later it beeped several times with no info showing on panel. 1 hour later this error code showed up (E6 and F2). What can I do to fix it. I would like to finish baking the banana nut bread I was baking.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL RBD305PDQ14 30" BUILT-IN ELECTRIC DOUBLE OVEN STD-CLEAN LOWER SELF-CLEAN UPPER | AppliancePartsPros.com See the attachment for the tech sheet. Here is a service manual. http://appliancedigest.com/index.php...service-manual You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer. Your problem is related to the keypad and/or the control board. Try the diagnostic as shown in the tech sheet. If that does nothing. Unplug the unit Open it up Remove the ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board at the control board. Clean the edge connector. If it is the type where there is not a connector just the insulation is removed, it can be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Do not use an ink eraser as it is too abrasive. Check the tracks in the ribbon cable for hairline cracks. A magnifying glass helps here. Would not hurt to clean the connector on the board. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Be gentle and do not reconnect till all the solvent evaporates. Reconnect everything and give it a try. If it is still NG use the tech sheet prcedure to help which part is the most likely cause.
