Default oven won't heat up
Model Number: cre9400acw   Brand: Maytag   Age: More than 10 years

I set temp to 400 and oven preheats in less than a minute - after 20mins oven temp only 200 deg - is this a control panel problem?

You could check the thermostat sensor in the oven itself. It sends a message to the controls. I am not up on how to test this. But if you look for some info on posts someone may know. I believe it is either good or bad, meaning if you check it with an ohmeter, it either reads 0 or infinite or a low scale reading. Again I am not sure on the exact procedure. But it should be checked.

Also check that your thermostat is correct. On a digital display it will be there somewhere, using the control pads you can set the thermostat. Read your owners manual. The thermostat may not be set correctly.
