Hello,
I disconnected the oven ignitor for replacement. Initially I disconnected it from the back.......disconnecting the red and white wiring. I then noticed that there was a clear connector, that I should have disconnected, instead.

My question is......do I need to reconnect the red and and white wires back as they where? I didn't noticed how they where initially connected. How should they be connected for the sake of polarity, or does it make a difference.

I just ordered a new ignitor and want the connections to be accurate.

Thanks

It souldn't matter which wires go onto the terminals, as long as the terminals are the same size, and the wires fit without having to over-reach to securely attach them.
