Model Number: SF367LEMB 1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
Hello,
I have a super capacity 465 (SF367LEMB 1) Everything works, except the oven (bottom burner inside, broiler works, stove works, ie, everything else) I've read many of these threads and as a result, replaced the ignitor, still no luck. I'll keep searching the site in the meantime. Any help is appreciated. Ads By Google Related Models |

I notice spark on the broiler ignitor when I try to turn on the oven, but no spark at the bottom ignitor.
I don't know enough to know whether or not the broiler ignitor is supposed to show spark too when you turn on the oven or not. Hope added info helps. Ps. Is it safe to try to manually light the oven with a lighter the way you would a grill that won't auto-light? |

As i stated earlier, ignitor was replaced. So i took the top backing off the oven to expose the control board. found the brown-ish lead that goes to the new ignitor, disconnected it, wiped both sides of the leads, reconnected it - and now the oven has lit 5 times on the first try, no more issue...for now.
how i arrived at this? 1) Whirlpool told me F0E0 actually meant no error found - so they couldn't tell online what the problem was. 2) read sometimes the contacts could become corroded (I thought maybe like a car battery lead) - so I figured what the heck, wipe the leads. hope this helps others - simple repair ~$30 and oven is good as new |
