Oven element not getting hot
Model Number: TEF351EWB Brand: Tappan Age: 1 - 5 years
My oven was working fine yesterday and today I turned the oven on and the lights come on saying it is preheating and the element does not heat up. HELP!

you have to have your bake element checked , you would need a multimeter unless element is obviosly damaged

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for TAP TEF351EWB | AppliancePartsPros.com Here is a tech sheet ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo.../316441731.pdf Tech sheet seems to indicate that the bake and broil alternate getting power when in bake mode. Try broil and see if the broil element heats up. If no Check that the L2 wire from the control board to the elements is OK, as it is common to both elements. Try clean as this is bake only element. Also you did not say if the surface elements are OK, if not it is a different kettle of fish.
