If the oven still work without showing anything on the display, then most likely the problem is a bad display. It can be a separate part or it can be a part of the control board. The model number you posted is incorrect. Verify and repost it please.

the model number is RBD275PRB00, THANKS FOR POINTING THAT OUT GENE. I WILL CHECK TO SEE OF THE FUNCTIONS WORK THIS EVENING - TO VERIFY IF IT IS JUST DISPLAY BOARD. IF IT IS SOMETHING WRONG ON OR WITH THE CONTROL BOARD, DOES ONE TYPICALLY JUST REPLACE THE WHOLE BOARD OR IS THERE INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS ON THE BOARD THAT CAN BE REPLACED? THANKS, NOVICE

There is no a separate display board in this oven. The display is a part of the control board and it has to be replaced to fix the problem. The manufacturer does not provide any instructions on how to repair the control board.

- The control board Part number: AP4909214

to remove and send my electronic control board # 4448876 to ************************.com --- is it worth the trouble? Still have the $129 initial service charge and lets add another $266.08 for the part (********************.com) and now i'm and $400 for a repair to a 5 year old appliance. Hmm. what to do, comments welcome.

44489876? Where did you find this part number? This part number is not good for your oven. The correct OEM part# is W10340941 which is APP part number AP4909214.

$266.08? APP sold it for $189.54.

If you know how to handle a simple tools then this job is not going to be too difficult. You can find the disassembling instructions in one of our previous threads: http://forum.appliancepartspros...ol-fault-code-e6-f2.html

4448876 Whirlpool Oven Control May be just the company's reference number for the board group.
