I am trying to clean the oven using the self cleaning button. The button lights up for about 5 seconds and then goes out and the clock comes back on. I am trying to troubleshoot why this is happening. It has worked fine in the past. HELP.....

Does the lock motor try to lock the door.
Does the oven light work when the door is opened?
Could be the door switch, the lock switch, lock motor or the control itself.

Sounds like the unit is waiting for an input from a switch, does not get input so times out.
