Model Number: GSC30B Brand: Thermador Age: More than 10 years
I have a 14 year old Thermador GSC30B range that works well except for a worn out display. Because of the low resolution of the image, I cannot tell which part I need from this diagram. I believe the display is all that is broken. The buttons still appear to work correctly: for example, I can turn on the oven, I just can't see the clock, timer, oven temperature, etc.

Bad News:
Yours is the first response that I've had. Good News: A day or two after my posting I dismantled the range's control panel down to the electronics, cleaned (vacuumed) everything, unplugged and re-plugged everything I could, put it all back together and the display started working again, as bright as when new. Since then it has been very slowly getting dimmer. I imagine now that it is some sort of heat-related mechanical problem. I plan to do the same sort of maintenance again when it gets too dim to read. Based on how long it took to fail the first time, I am guessing that it will be another year or so. |
