Thermador microwave Does Not Heat

Model Number: CMT-231 Brand: Thermador Age: More than 10 years

We have a 1988 Thermador double oven (convection, fan, and microwave in the top oven). The microwave controls light up (i.e., the time dial), but it does not heat. The timer bell will go off after the time is up and the contents will be cold. Is this the magnetometer which I could repair myself by unscrewing the old one from inside the top oven? PLEASE HELP. The repair guy wants over $1500, but the part is only $238.
