i have the amana Artsc8651ss and it keeps flashing from 00 to clock and beeps all the time. i dont know if this is the F1 problem because i have never seen it flash F1. I understand there has been some problems with these in the past and that i need to replace some parts. Do i need to replace the ERC or the membrane or both? Also i have heard this happens because of excessive heat like running the clean cycle, is this true? Will this fix the problem or will it happen again? i have the black pad if that helps.

Don't know what you mean by black pad, hope it's the membrane assembly

That's the more likely issue,
Excessively high heat from the cooktop or the oven can create an issue, but the most common cause of touchpad failure is using ammonia based cleaning products on the pad assembly.

I don't think you'll need an ERC at this point, but,
