Hi Mark,
The problem is a bad display board (EOC), so the correction is to replace it. You can try to play with capacitors. I can not lead you in this direction because never did it myself. - The EOC Part number: AP4088560 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for JENN-AIR W27400W WALLOVEN- S/C ELE | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.

Hi Gene,
I was ever so close to ordering one but I attempted to replace the C3 capacitor first. It's been a month or two so I'm hazy but I wanted to post a follow up! Thank you for your help! 1. I didn't turn off oven at breaker as recommended. 2. removed screws from panels and I carefully unplugged two power plugs. Not the ribbon chord. Then whole front panel came off the front of oven. (i recommend putting those simple screws back in the holes at this point) 3. I let it, the front panel sit around for a week while I procrastinated about trying to fix my old soldering gun etc. and doubt my soldering something that small. 4. I took it down to one of two electronics shops in town, Kandarian Electronics, the guy although hesitate to get himself out on a limb, did the rest. he, pulled the delicate ribbon chord and then he went and grabbed a $1.19 capacitor off the shelf and then he spent ten to twenty mins. carefully unsoldering and soldering on the new one. On reassembly the tricky part seemed to be lining up and reinserting the ribbon chord. The bill was $11.19. He added $10 for labor. I bought three solar car model kits and a short wave radio kit assy for kids, just for future gifts and to show some appreciation.! thanks out to local aerospace engineeer Daniel and to Gene. btw- when I got back to install, I must have used wrong order of plugging the plugs in, I got a loud alarm, I unplugged them and did it again reversing the order and no alarms. And it is working! of course I lost the screws I put in my truck a week earlier, and that slowed things up. btw- my jenn air was a slightly different model than Aerospace Daniels. the Electronics guy asked me to call him and let him know if it actually worked and if the kids got the kits together and if they worked. I need him and thank him and share the good news. thanks to this Forum, (I've got two disher washers messed up right now.) |
