Model Number: RBS305PDQ6 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
I recently self-cleaned the oven. Ever since, it will not heat at all in either bake or broil modes. I removed the temp. sensor and unplugged it. It measures 1100 ohms at its connector contacts at room temperature. If I hold the off button (on the control panel) down for a few seconds, E2-F3- error code appears. Should I check wiring to sensor? Is it possible that both BAKE and BROIL relays have welded contacts, and would this relay condition be consistent with E2-F3- error code? Thanks.

Here are your parts

If you disconnected it and measured it at the control board then you have checked the wiring and the sensor reads OK. Check the connection at the control board for corrosion or a bad solder joint or a crack in the copper foil (circuit tracks). Often a bad solder joint will be a duller gray or have pinholes or the components connection will move in the solder. A magnifying glass helps here. Is it possible that both BAKE and BROIL relays have welded contacts, and would this relay condition be consistent with E2-F3- error code? No the error is sensor related. I am assuming that when you checked the sensor the unit was unplugged and it did not reset. Sounds like the sensor circuit on the board is toast. You may want to try AppliancePartsPros as you have done the troubleshooting they will let you return the board if it does not fix your problem. See their return policy.
