I have a kitchenaid dishwasher and I cant keep the door closed. It does not have a positive latch on it. The door is just supposed to click closed when you push it, and open when you pull on the door. I can't get the door to stay closed. I have checked to make sure nothing is blocking the door to hold it open, and it appears fine. the latch is just not strong enough anymore to hold the door shut. any suggestions?

A few things you can try. Make sure the strike is bent down enough to just clear the top of the inner door panel. You can remove the latch assembly from the door and then remove the spring from inside. Overextend a spring a bit then put it back together. This will work, but usually not for the long haul. Finally, order a new latch (AP3179951) and install it. Of course, make sure nothing has changed like the lower rack installed wrong, or the upper rack binding the applying pressure to the inner door. If all else is well, try the latch.
