Model Number: FEB30S5ABA Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
The oven has quit heating, both bake & broil. The elements ohm out good, and I am getting voltage to them. Broil element, 120 volts both sides continuous. Bake element, yellow wire 120 volts continuous, black wire 120 volts for a few seconds, then relay clicks and voltage goes away, then in a few more seconds, it comes back to 120, then repeats the cycle. Replaced the Timer control/clock EOC, have the same results as before. Can anyone suggest what else to check, with instructions.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FEB30S5ABA Frigidaire/electric Range | AppliancePartsPros.com Check the power to the unit. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out. Note: your oven is probably hard wires so you will not be able to unplug it. If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! It is the 240 that is important as this is the voltage that runs the elements. Checking the voltage at the elements with one meter lead on ground/neutral does not really tell you much and can confuse the issue. If power in is OK check the thermal circuit breaker (F119 in Section 2). It kills power to both elements. It looks like it may be re-settable, see tthe square red pop up on it's back.

Thanks for the reply. I have 242 volts coming into the oven. I have checked the thermal circuit breaker, and it shows 120 volts continuous on one side, and 120 volts on the other side until the relay clicks on the EOC, then it goes to a very low reading. It does not pop off.

I would shut power off at the breaker and then undo one side of the thermal circuit breaker and then check it with a meter for resistance.
It should be 0 ohms. Hard to say what is going on with the voltage meter readings depends where the reference lead is attached. Sounds like you may have a bad connection or wire in the unit.

You are welcome
And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause.
