Model Number: chg9800bae Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
I am trying to install an oven igniter in a Maytag gas range.
This range model has a single oven with a lower storage drawer. I am not sure how to access the igniter in the oven. When I take off the bottom drawer of the range, I can see the wires leading to the igniter. It is located in the central, rear area of the range. However, I can't seem to get at it without removing the back of the stove. I tried taking out the flat pan above the lower storage drawer but that still didn't give me enough room to get at the igniter. Any advice on the best way to access the igniter. Once I get at it, I think I can swap it out. Thanks. Paul |
