My oven came on by itself the other day. Some one told me that a wire for the element may be shorted out, but would that not cause the breaker to trip? Another person told me that it was the control board for the oven was bad? As I am not that familiar with ovens I looked at the wiring diagram and opened up the front control panel and saw the 2 leads coming in but with oven sitched off I had 4 hot leads (120v) when I turned the oven on (first time I got an F1 error code) the second time it worked as normal (for several cycles) with the same 4 leads being hot (120v).
