Model Number: GY397LXUB 0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
New to the forum, but I love how active this place is
I have a Whirlpool GY397LXUB 0 and most of the buttons do not work. The only ones that seem to work are the 1, 6, 7, 9 and cancel buttons. On the left side the BAKE button doesn't seem to work, but I don't know if that is because of the number pad or not. All of the burners work VERY well though. Do I need to replace the control pad or just the membrane? Which one and i supposed to buy, and are there any special instructions on how to install it? This is what I have found after doing a quick search: Quote:
If it isn't the membrane what else should i do? Thanks. Ads By Google Related Models |

I'm sure a new membrane assembly, will solve your issue. Part number: AP4423195 Something you want to remember about keypads and membrane panels, No household Cleaning Solutions, just a damp cloth. Here's some help: 1. Turn off the electrical power to the range. 2. Remove the knobs from the controls.3. Unsnap the two clips at the inner control locations and lift the front edge of the control panel glass, then slide the top edge of the glass out of the control panel flange, and remove it. 4. To remove the electronic oven control: a) Remove the two screws from the bezel 5. To remove the control paneland window and remove them from the control panel. b) Remove the two screws from the bracket, lift the electronic oven control assembly off the control panel, and rotate it back so you can access the connectors. c) Disconnect the three connectors from the electronic oven control. a) Remove the two top screws and the two side screws in the end caps from the control panel. b) Open the oven door and remove the three bottom screws. c) Remove the control panel from the range by pulling it forward and lifting it at the front. d) To remove an end cap, remove the two mounting screws (1 top & 1 bottom). Good Luck,
