I purchased a replacement rocker switch for the Accusimmer burner on my electric range control panel (Whirlpool Part # 9753261FW). It is almost identical to the o
riginal part, but different enough that I cannot determine which tab to attach which wire to. The center wire is obvious. The wire that was attached to the "On" side of the rocker switch has an additional plastic "sleeve" that covers the connecting end, but I cannot figure out which pole on the new switch to attach it to. The three poles are labeled "1A", "2A" AND "3A". I tried attaching the white wire with the plastic "sleeve" on its end to the "1A" pole and the red wire to the "3A" pole. I then flipped the switch to the "3A" side (towards the red wire) and the burner did heat, but it was on the "Accusimmer" mode. So I flipped the switch towards the "1A" side (white wire) and full power turned on but the wires shorted. So I switched the red and white wires, attaching the red wire to the "1A" pole and the white wire to the "3A" pole but the full power still reaches the burner when the switch is towards the white one. It does not short out now, but is that the correct sequence? Red wire to "1A" pole of the new switch (rocker switch pushed to this side gives Accusimmer mode) and the white "sleeved" wire to the 3A pole of the new switch (rocker switch pushed to the 3A pole gives full power to the burner)?
