changed the defrost heater and defrost timer wanted to if there was a defrost timer for this unit cause i cant seem to find it
the freezer keeps defrosting and the ice build up keeps forming what can be the problem?

Part 801 on this diagram of your sealed system and motherboard controls your defrost cycle. You don't have the old type of timer. Replacement parts for GE GSS22KGMBAA | AppliancePartsPros.com But check the defrost thermostat first by bypassing it to see if it will then defrost.

It's clamped on the coil and has two wires. unplug or cut and twist the wires together without the thermostat. Now it's bypassed.

Or check the thermostat for continuity with an ohm meter. When it's cold it should show continuity. When it's warm it's open.
