It's a classic series model number fgf366ccd. When I turn the oven on the preheat light comes on and after a minute there's a nice warm glow coming from the bottom. But apparently that's just the igniter and it's not releasing the gas. Broiler and stovetop work fine. Since the lower igniter lights up but the gas doesn't open I'm not sure what's going on. I know if the igniter was broken it wouldn't allow the gas through but then it wouldn't light up either.
A second question I have is I took the 2 screws out of the back of the ovens floor and expected to be able to pull the bottom out and get a better look at the igniter and gas tube. However the bottom doesn't want to pull out of the front of the oven. Can anybody tell me the trick. I don't really want to force it.
