Model Number: GLEF378ASG Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
My control panel became unglued and is just hanging on one side. The oven still works so all wires are in place. How do I glue the panel back on? I have to remove the entire back of the oven in order to get to the panel. What type of glue should I use? Any additional advice? (Oven not under warranty and don't want/need to bring in for repair.)

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE GLEF378ASG Frigidaire/electric Range | AppliancePartsPros.com I am assuming that you mean the overlay is loose (Item 29A in Section1). The following should help with your repair. Whirlpool KR-31 30 inch Free Standing Electric Range with Self Clean Service Manual - ApplianceDigest.com You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer. How do I glue the panel back on? What type of glue should I use? Any additional advice? I think I would buy a new overlay. Not sure what would be the best glue as most of them are heat sensitive. I would not use epoxy because if the fix does not work you have to get the old overlay off the control board without screwing up the board. I would try some silicone sealant. Use it very sparingly and do not get it near the buttons. Also clean the control board and the overlay of any residue glue. Try isopropyl alcohol first and if that does not work try varsol/mineral spirits. Try it on a corner/edge first just to be sure it does not screw up the overlay. Also make sure all the solvent vapors dissipate before reassembling the unit.
